Shadow Relics

Released in the summer of 2011, Shadow Relics is Rainbo Video’s debut album. Audratic has called it “a piece of engaging, electronic-based minimalism,” describing opening track “Ultraviolet” as a “beautiful and epic 10-minute plus piece, reminiscent of Steve Reich’s Electric Counterpoint.”
Shadow Relics explores the textures that arise when guitars, synths, and pianos mingle with digital signal processing and computer-based composition techniques. Bright, icy, haunting sounds emerge, aptly framing the concept of the album: an expedition to Antarctica and the strange artifacts uncovered there.
