Immortal words

Stopped at the video store recently. Some great, rare cult flicks visible in that shot, but what did I end up settling on? Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

I couldn’t be happier. Decent sequel, but the high point probably came from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s commentary. Below is just a short excerpt, it’s…amazing.

Free show in Chicago, May 21

Whispered Light, 2012

I’ll be playing a free show on Monday, May 21st at Hungry Brain here in Chicago. The show is the May edition of DreamBait, a monthly event serving as a hub for ambient music, textural composition, and improvisation in Chicago. It highlights “artists with an experimental and minimalist aesthetic.”

Monday, May 21st

DreamBait presents:
Rainbo Video
Lofstrom and Else
Matthew Dotson

Hungry Brain
2319 W. Belmont Ave.
Roscoe Village, Chicago
Doors: 8pm / Show: 9pm
21+, Free (donations encouraged)

I previously performed at DreamBait in June of last year for the release of Shadow Relics and am looking forward to returning. These days my music is becoming increasingly pop-oriented, so (for the time being) this will be a rare chance to see me perform some unreleased and improvised ambient pieces live.

Ultraviolet used in short film Atlantis

My track “Ultraviolet“ is featured in the short film Atlantis, written and directed by Matthew Ornstein. The film “dramatizes the final space shuttle launch and its significance in the history of space exploration for all mankind.”

Atlantis will be screening at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival today, January 30th, and this Friday, February 3rd. Screening details are available here.
